Special Club Awards

During each month, clubs try to earn as many points as possible to compete for the Banner Club of the Month Award.  At the end of each month, the club in each grade division with the most points will win free coupons from area restaurants for free food.

YOU WILL EARN POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES DURING A CLUB MEETING

GOLD BANNER CLUB

MONTHLY SCORE
Performance of Officers at meeting  0 - 10 points

Each officer is worth 2 points.
Song/Game leaders earn 1 point each.
The reporter must turn in the report by the end of the month or 2 points will be subtracted.

Program               0  -  5 points

Includes American & 4-H Pledge, and Thought for the Day.

Conduct of members     0 - 15 points
Contest Participation   0  -  70 points

Each member that participates in a contest earns points for their club.

Extra Credit    0 - 20 points

This includes poems, demonstrations, skits, special singing, talent, etc. Extra credit should be prepared even when there is no competition

FINAL SCORE   120 POINTS

GOLD CLUBS

*Must have a year-end average of 115-120 points.

*Classroom receives a plaque and a special prize for each 4-Her in the class.

At the end of the school year each club's monthly scores are averaged.  To improve your club's average, the lowest month's score will be dropped.  Clubs that have high enough scores can win the Gold Banner Club Award.

 

100% PUBLIC
SPEAKING PLAQUE

In the month of November, Clubs that have 100% of their members do a speech will receive a club plaque.

OUTSTANDING SECRETARY AWARD

All club secretaries are encouraged to turn in their secretary's book in April for judging of outstanding work.  Book will be judged on neatness and accuracy of minutes.  The winner from each division (Jr., Jr. High & Sr.) will be recognized.

TOP OF THE LINE REPORTER

Each month, the reporter's report will be judged on neatness, content and being turned in on time (Due by the end of each month).  Prizes will be given in each division.

OUTSTANDING 4-H MEMBER

Presented to the most outstanding Junior, Junior High and Senior High 4-H members of the year.  Based on participation in local, county, district and state contests as well as overall project work.

PROJECT MEDALS

Awarded to 4-H members who win any county contest.
