Physical Education at CES

Students at CES have P.E. twice a week for 30 minutes each time.  We do a variety of different activities throughout the year.  Every grade does not do the same things however there is some overlap in the activities.  The students learn different locomotor skills, basketball skills, soccer, hockey, golf, volleyball and aerobics to just name a few.  Our focus with these activities is on skill development.  In addition to the previously mentioned activities the  students are involved in fitness testing twice a year and receive personalized print outs of their results.  First through fourth grade have the opportunity to participate in Jump Rope for Heart which raises money for the American Heart Association.  The students win a lot of great prizes when we do this event.

Punt, Pass, and Kick is an event for third and fourth graders.  It is a Pepsi and NFL sponsored event which gives both boys and girls a chance to test those three skills.

The most anticipated event at the school is Field Day.  This is one day of fun and excitement. The students compete in many activities and receive ribbons for their efforts.
