Computer Lab
The Computer Lab at Carthage Elementary School consist of 24 computers. The Smith County Board of Education has provided some of the computers and others have been purchased with funds from our PTO Fun Run proceeds. We appreciate the support from both groups.
Each class (K-4) is scheduled to visit the lab each week. We will be stressing the importance of following the Lab Rules to the students. For your information, the Lab Rules are listed below. Please take time to review these rules with your child.
Lab Rules:
Absolutely no food or drink in the lab.
Please wash your hands before lab time.
Respect your neighbor
Use your best behavior
Treat computers gently and
with care
Do not pound on keyboard or mouse.
Do not change volume on speakers.
Do not turn computers "on" or "off".
Please speak quietly in the lab.
Please don't bring disk from home for use in the lab.
Always listen for instructions.
If you are not sure about something, ask for help.
Do not leave your computer unless instructed to do so.
Only supervised Internet activities are permitted.
Remain on the activity as instructed by the teacher.
All applicable school rules apply in the lab.
