Mrs. Deanne Currie

My name is Deanne Graves Currie.  I am a graduate of Smith County High School, and a Year 2000 graduate of Tennessee Technological University.  I received my Masters Degree in Instructional Leadership in 2001.   I am currently taking classes toward my Ed.S. degree.

I am married to Todd Currie, formerly from Orlando, Florida, who works in Physical Therapy.  We live in Carhtgae  with our son, Bryce, and our dog, Hera.  I grew up in Gallatin, then my family moved to Hartsville.  When I was a teenager,  we moved back to Smith County to my mother's hometown, which is Defeated.  My parents, Benny and Matilda Graves, reside there still.  I also have a brother, Andy,  who works in real estate.

I taught 2nd grade at Trousdale County Elementary School, and have been a a 1st grade teacher at Carthage Elementary since 2000.  I love being a teacher!  I also enjoy aerobic classes and being outside.  My favorite thing to do is travel and go to new places and teach my little boy new things.

Michelle Stafford

My name is Michelle Stafford. I'm a 2001 graduate of Jackson County High School and a 2006 graduate of Tennessee Technological University. I received a Bachelor of Science degree for grades K-8 with magna cum laude honors.

I'm very excited to teach 1st grade at CES. I live in the Freestate Community of Jackson County. My parents are Dennis and Stella Stafford. I have one brother and one sister-in-law, Andy and Becky Stafford. While I was a student at Tenn. Tech, I worked at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. I was a diet clerk and a weekend supervisor in the food and nutrition department. I feel the knowledge I obtained working with the special diets will help me in the classroom if one of my students has diabetes or food allergies.

I have always wanted to be a teacher! I love being around children. I believe that every child can succeed. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a child's "light bulb" come on! I'm positive that every child who enters my room will be given the confidence that he or she can accomplish anything! I plan to have lots of hands-on learning activities, graphics, and technology in the classroom. I want my students to have fun while learning. I'm Dedicated to using a variety of skills to accommodate the needs of every student! I'm looking forward to having a great school year.

Mrs. Jill Wilmore

My name is Jill High Wilmore.  I live in Pleasant Shade on a farm with my husband, Marty, and my three children, Mandy, Nathan, and Monica.  Our family pastime is to work with our Charolais show cattle.   I enjoy supporting my children in their many various activities, cooking, canning, reading, and surfing the Internet.

I received both my B.S. and M.S. degrees from George Peabody College for Teachers before I began to teach in 1980.  I taught kindergarten for my first sixteen years, then  second grade for seven years.  I taught 1st Grade for the 2004/2005 school year.

I love my job, kids, and animals!  When you walk into my classroom don't be surprised at what animals you might find.  We usually have fish and hermit crabs.  In the spring we often hatch chicks and butterflies.  I've also been known to have spiders, snakes, geckos, turtles, frogs, gerbils... you name it.  I like learning to be fun, and I hope I can develop a love for learning in each child who passes through my class.
