CES Fourth Grade Teachers

Mrs. Kathy Brooks

Mrs. Kathy Brooks started her teaching career in 1971 and is the current resident of Room 115 (The Big Orange Room) at Carthage Elementary School. She is a graduate of The University of Tennessee in Knoxville.  She met her husband, Richard M. Brooks, while both were UT students.  Richard is an attorney in Carthage.

Mrs. Brooks has two daughters. Mary-Katherine and Anne Marie.

On Saturdays each fall Mrs. Brooks and her husband follow the Vols football team.  Winter and spring is basketball season.  They also enjoy UT Track and Field events, as well as, Vols baseball.  They are true Vols fans!

Mrs. Tammy Harper

I began teaching in 1983.  I taught two years at Forks River Elementary School before coming to Carthage Elementary.

I live in the Riddleton community.  I am married and have two daughters. Mia Harper Whitaker is employed with the accounting firm Maggart & Associates in Nasvhille.  Mia's husband is at Smith County Middle School. Candice is a student at TTU majoring in secondary health and physical education. 

My hobbies are reading and scrapbooking.

 

 

Helen Lea West

My name is Helen Lea West.  I started teaching at CES in 1979.  I live in the country with my husband.  I love dogs and bird watching, and I like to travel.
